Artist’s inscription: Light mist swept clear morning mountain / Cold and chilly, half of the autumn already passed. / I am in the west of the Jian [Hangzhou?], herd about the turmoil in the north. / Amidst the sound of stream, there is bird’s lonely song. / In the winter, twelfth month of the bingyin year (1746), / Xinluoshanven painted and wrote at Tietaoguan. / (translated Eun-wha Park, 1989).
